Another good appointment today. The baby's ventricles are measuring 11 and 12 down from 12 and 13. The echogenic bowel has become completely non-echogenic. I asked th perinatologist why that would happen. She said sometimes something is in the bowel and as he drinks more anmiotic fluid, it dilutes it. She was very pleased with the results of all the tests and today's ultrasound. The only semi cautious part was that his abdomin is measuring a week behind. On the ultrasound, their measurements could be a week off in either direction. So, this could again be nothing, or he could not be gaining weight like he should. She said they pay her to be paranoid so I'll go back in for another check in 5 weeks. I really don't think it's anything at all, but I'll take the ultrasound.
They didn't give me any pictures today! Can you believe it?? The tech did say she'd do a 3D at the next ultrasound and I better get a print out of that one. I'm so glad they will do one. The 3D's are so cool, but I did not want to pay to get one done.
I have my glucose (gestational diabetes) test in 3 weeks, an OB appointment and that night we leave for our vacation. By the time we get back, I'll be 29 weeks and the ultrasound will be a couple of days later. We still have so much to do and if we keep staying this busy, we'll never get it done!

that's the one bonus about any concerns during pregnancy...extra photos of your baby! with my placenta previa, in the beginning we were getting new photos every month. when that issue cleared up, we were shocked when the dr stopped doing u/s's and just listened to the heartbeat every time i went in.
ReplyDeleteYep. I got pics every couple weeks and like 3 or 3 different 4D sessions. They were pretty concerned about deformities among other things.
