Register... check
Ken and I went to Baby's R Us today to register. Wow, was that a lot of work! It was really fun though. I felt like I was on a shopping spree and didn't have to pay a penny. We put quite a bit of stuff on there that we'll be buying ourselves (all that expensive big stuff) just so we would remember what we liked. I cannot wait to put his room together! Must... not... buy... anything...yet. Stay strong Tiffany. Ken is the ever logical reminder that we don't need to have everything put together today just to collect dust until June. I can still day-dream though...

Brady's room still isn't done, but he only goes in there to use the changing table, so, I haven't failed yet! Take your time, but go ahead and get what you can, especially things that you will need right away. It'll make you feel better!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point. Our guy will be rooming in with us for a while in his bassinet. But, the room will look so cute, even if he isn't enjoying it. :) I feel like I need to be doing SOMETHING to get ready. I cleaned out the refrigerator and freezer and started on the pantry yesterday...
ReplyDeleteWhat theme are you going with for Brady's room?
Go to yard sales. Get the stuff used that you will only be using a short time (bouncies, tummy time play mats, ect). Some people over buy, then don't use it and sell it for CHEAP at a garage sale in almost brand new condition. I got nearly everything Logan has used except for baby shower gifts. So worth it!! But it is your first so you may want new. My sister is making ridiculous purchases for her little girl and she's only a couple of weeks ahead of you. $500 crib.. crazy!
ReplyDeleteI would register at Target too! I love their stuff. :-) People like to have a couple options. Just a tip.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking on Craig's list too. Yard sales aren't as popular out here. I think cause you can basically only do it during the summer time. I'm not opposed to getting used... :)
ReplyDeleteStephanie, I've started one at Target too, but our store doesn't really have much, so I have to do everything online. Not a big deal, just not as fun as shooting everything I want. :)
